Stalin must be elated in his grave. Stupid US foreign policy regarding Romania made his dream come true - an almost entire people became anti-american overnight. And that's after nearly one hundred years of strong pro-american feelings. Which hasn't been done by two world wars, dictatorship, countless killings, imprisonments, gulag deportation and harsh communism enforcement.
US democrat strategists are backing up the wrong donkey - an impeached Romanian president who has got almost 90% of his people against him. I guess he's the right man for the times to come here, at the gates of the Middle East. Once again, Company's bleaching solution proves satisfactory. But on a long term it will be disastrous. Well, who gives a damn, it's only around 20 million people's lives to mess with.
Once again, after messing Europe with backing up the wrong guys in former Yugoslavia, Washington bureaucrats prove they haven't got a clue what's going on in this part of the world. And now, an entire people should play the escaping goat for some elusive strategic goals. Which will prove pointless in just a couple of years. In the mean time, those 20 million above will be ruled by an Uncle Sam backed villain.
Coming back to Romanians, for some time they have been feeling a long forgotten feeling - fear. The fear they haven't experienced since Ceausescu's communist regime was chucked at the history garbage bin.
